Media Forge

Media conversion, PDF workflows and OCR, processed on the user’s device.

An everyday file toolkit, right in the browser.

An AI-assisted web project for converting media and working with documents without sending file contents to a conversion server. My work covers feature requirements, interface iteration, hands-on testing, documentation and publishing.

What you can try

Video, audio and image conversion; PDF page organization and visual editing; printed-text OCR in English and Bulgarian; document, spreadsheet and archive workflows.

How it works

JavaScript, WebAssembly and browser workers process files on the user's device. Libraries load on demand; originals and finished results have separate lists. Format, memory and preservation limits are explained in the app.

JavaScript · FFmpeg / WebAssembly · PDF.js · pdf-lib · Tesseract.js · GitHub Actions

Files stay on the device. Initial engine and application downloads need a network connection. Text conversions and OCR have documented preservation and accuracy limits.
