Full mod description (English)

Information shown

Aim at a supported block within your interaction range. The panel shows its current stage and readiness, or its honey level. Values come exclusively from the block states synchronized by Minecraft; they reflect the latest data received by the client, not a prediction or a growth timer.

Supported blocks:

  • Wheat, carrots, potatoes and beetroot: current stage and actual maximum for that crop.
  • Torchflower crop and pitcher crop: growth stages while the crop block exists. The separate mature torchflower decorative flower is not shown.
  • Cocoa and nether wart: current stage and maturity.
  • Sweet berry bushes: harvestable from stage 2; stage 3 is fully mature. Ready therefore does not always mean maximum stage.
  • Cave vines and cave vine plants: berry presence, shown as 0/1 or 1/1, rather than an invented growth age.
  • Beehives and bee nests: honey level; ready only at the full level.

Unknown modded blocks are deliberately unsupported, even when they expose an age property. Stems, sugar cane, bamboo and other unsupported blocks show no panel. Their age properties are not reliable harvest-readiness contracts. Missing world/target data also shows no panel.

Settings

Use /harvestsigns to open the settings screen. English and Bulgarian translations are included.

  • Overlay, crop/berry information and hive information are independently switchable.
  • Optional block name; optional suppression of the repeated name when the known VitalView block panel is enabled.
  • Horizontal and vertical position, scale and opacity. Click a value to cycle it; position wraps after 100%.
  • Save applies the draft and writes it to disk. Cancel or Escape discards it. Reset resets the draft.

The panel hides with the vanilla HUD and while a screen is open. It clamps to the available GUI area. The settings screen includes a sample preview on larger screens; the preview is not live world information.

Configuration file: config/harvest-signs.json. Malformed settings are preserved and defaults are used with a warning in the settings screen. Explicitly saving replaces the file. File saves use atomic replacement when supported; a failed save does not apply the draft to the live configuration.

VitalView coexistence

No SP mod is required. An optional read-only bridge recognizes the existing sp_vitalview client configuration (enabled and blockInfo). When that block panel is enabled, Harvest Signs can omit the repeated block name. Stage/honey information remains visible, because the inspected VitalView panel does not provide it. The bridge does not modify VitalView settings. If its API changes, Harvest Signs keeps its own name visible. This is not an integration into VitalView's panel or its layout editor; position the independent Harvest Signs panel through its own settings.
